Karen Dar Woon

Known to some as the Biscotti Queen, and others as Your Secret Chef, Karen began cooking professionally as a young teen, baking cookies and selling door to door in her neighborhood. After working in Geochemistry, Physical Metallurgy and then Graphic Arts for over 25 years, with some ad hoc catering along the way, she returned to follow her passion: Food. She completed both culinary and business training in her hometown of Vancouver, BC. With the assistance of the BCIT Venture Development Department, Karen launched her business, Your Secret Chef, in 2006. Karen lives with her husband in downtown Vancouver, BC. Her grown daughters occasionally come to visit, and eat. Biscotti Queen brand biscottini are made to order, for personal and corporate clients.
