Yvonne Douma

My love of preparing and enjoying delicious, nutritious food has always been one of my life passions, and in 1997 I changed from a successful career as a Chemical Technologist and was trained in classical French cuisine as a Professional Cook. I have worked at various catering companies with great expectation and delight and yet found weekends and evenings consumed with work. In an effort to become more of my own boss, I have catered personal parties with great success and satisfaction. Then I found Personal Cheffing. My weekends and evenings are now my own (well, mostly…) and have found a great support network within the Canadian Personal Chef Association. Most importantly, I am now able to work with the people who bring me the most satisfaction, my clients. I truly enjoy the planning, preparation and cooking of food items and take great pride and satisfaction in meeting my client’s needs of eating excellent quality, healthy food. My family and friends are always excited about dinner parties at my home as they’ve experienced pampered meals designed just for them.
