Method
Crisp the bacon
Cook bacon in a pan over medium heat following its package instructions until fully cooked and crisp. Drain on paper towel. Wash the lettuce and tomato; slice the tomato.
Toast and layer
Toast the bread. Spread with mayonnaise. Make two triple-decker sandwiches, dividing the turkey, bacon, vegetables and pepper between the layers.
Finish
Press gently and cut into quarters. Serve immediately or refrigerate promptly. For anyone who needs to avoid cold deli meats, heat the turkey until steaming hot before assembly.
Use toothpicks to hold the layers while cutting; remove them before eating.
